AGM
The Annual General Meeting is to be held at the Scout Hut on 18th October from 6:30pm. There will also be a presentation from the Explorers about the World Scout Jamboree, items by the other sections and refreshments.
We hope to see as many Scouts and parents attending.

Fells Marathon
A massive well done to the two Scout teams and the Explorer team who completed the Fells Marathon this weekend. This years event was the hardest ever and caused nearly half of the Scout teams to drop out but our Scouts persevered came second and third places, and the Explorers also managed a third and the "Swifty Memorial Trophy" for the lightest kit at an average of 10.5kg per person.
WELL DONE ALL!

World Scout Jamboree 2011
Seven of the Pocklington Explorers went to the World Scout Jamboree this year in Sweden and has a fantastic time camping with over 40,000 other Explorers.
They visited Copenhagen in Denmark for two days with the entire UK contingent (4444 people exactly) and took over the city before heading to the main site near Kristianstad in Sweden which they've all said was the best time of their life getting to meet people from all over the world, cheering when the sun came out and just cheering all the time for no reason at all!
The last four days were spent in the Netherlands near Amsterdam with the Greater London South East Unit which was a nice ending to an amazing and rather busy three weeks.
