About Scouts

Scouts

The Scouts is the largest youth organisation in the UK providing almost half a million 6-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge, and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

This is not done in the form of sewing on badges or knot tying (unless that’s what our members want to do) but instead by camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling, canoeing, and much, much more! All of this is with friends, building teamwork skills, and solving challenges.

1st Pocklington Scout Group

1st Pocklington has been established since the time of the second world war. It is a large group with 4 sections, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Pocklington Scouts Group is a very active unit getting involved in events locally, at county and national level. Pocklington Scouts and explorers have taken part in international trips too.

More information on each section can be found on their section pages. Beavers Section, Cubs Section, Scouts Section and Explorer Unit.
